silver flower sculptures
Danniella Wilde is best known for her silver flower sculptures.
Each of the flowers Danniella makes are life sized and handcrafted in 925 sterling silver. These flowers are striking on their own or can be combined together in a sculpture and even placed amongst real flowers. Although we do advise keeping them indoors.
Each flower can be made in plain silver or with the unusal colour surface treatment that Danniella has developed using a combination of traditional patination and artist pigment.
All flowers pictured are available on a made to order basis. Danniella also takes on commissions for flowers she is yet to create. To enquire about having a silver flower or custom sculpture made please use the contact form or email: danniella@wilde-flower.com
graduation collection
Danniella’s Silver flowers were developed during her final degree project at university. Whilst researching Floriography and the Language of flowers she became facinated by how symbolic flowers are both throughout history and in the modern world. Danniella spent some time with a flower farmer Tracey Bridger who taught her about the environmental and social impacts of importing flowers from abroad. This was a turning point and Danniella decided to base her final degree project around the benefits of using British grown flowers, celebrating the seasonality showing that you can get beautiful locally grown flowers at any time in the year.
Danniella displayed individual silver flowers in a straight line beginning with ones available in January moving through all the months. Nestled inbetween the flowers representing May and June (the time of year the piece was going on display) Danniella cleverly placed some real British grown flowers emphasising what was available at that time in the year.
The piece won Danniella multiple awards for both craftsmanship and concept including being ‘Talent Spotted’ by The Goldsmiths Center and winning the Graduate Membership Award with Contemporary British Silversmiths.
